- Fabrication Shop Welder MSI Construction - 3.
STAINLESS STEEL
for a fabrication shop in West Columbia, SC. This is a great opportunity to grow a career with a privately owned company that has been in business in South Carolina since 1972.Shift:
7:00 am - 5:30 pm: Monday -Thursday Welder Benefits:

- Opportunity for occasional overtime.
- Eligible pay increase after evaluation period.
Welder Responsibilities:
- Operate angle grinders during prep and clean-up of welding.
- Read blueprints / schematics / hand sketched instructions.
- Perform a variety of welding processes.
- Complete set up, operate, and tend welding equipment.
- Examine welds for bead size and other specifications.
- Welders will be required to help with other shop fabrication needs such as operating equipment, unloading and loading materials, housekeeping, and other various task.
Welder Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and sufficient experience to pass required testing on site.
- Must have at least 1 year of fabrication fitting experience. PLUS
- Must have at least 5 years of welding experience. PLUS
- Must have a minimum of 7 years shop experience.
- Ability to understand and apply all standard MIG/TIG & Stick Weld various metals, including must have the ability to work with Stainless Steel .
- Ability to use various testing techniques to determine weld quality.
- Must be able to use all required PPE equipment and lift up to 50lbs.
