Job Description

Starting pay rate dependent on skill level which is determined by weld test. Full Time.

Following:
Other duties may be assigned. Build Subassemblies for compactors and/or balers utilizing existing fixtures. Weld to acceptable quality expectations on all weld positions (flat, down, over). Assemble and weld sides, floors, and dog boxes on compactors. Assemble and weld sides, floors, tops, doors, and wire gates on balers. Ability to meet production standards. Maintain good attendance record and be able to work overtime as needed. Maintain good safety record. Maintain positive attitude. Positions parts together by means of clamps, tack welds, and along layout marks. Part positioning may occur at floor, table, shoulder, and above shoulder levels.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Experienced MIG welder. Requires supervision. Can read basic blueprints or drawings. Ability to use tape measure.
Education And/Or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Depending on job classification, may require basic math and/or tape measure reading. Depending on job classification, may require ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
