Job Description

About The Role The position is responsible to support the production or repair of existing fixtures and tools as well as to build new fixtures and tools to support new products. This role is to provide user-friendly fixtures and tools while taking into consideration ergonomic requirements as well as to provide the ability to make consistent quality component . Responsibilities Responsible to cut, clean and prepare parts for jigs and fixtures. Performs necessary welding functions and assists in the maintenance of the department. Learn how to operate and set-up the band saw, mill, and lathe as well as perform tasks with the hand oxyfuel torch-cutter, plasma cutting, and welding. Assist in the assembly of fixtures and will follow safety standards. Utilize micrometers, calipers, tape measure and gauges per product specifications . Performs other duties on assigned. Candidate Requirements Must have High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience. Must have successfully completed the Trail King weld test. Must be able to read and understand cut sheets and blueprints. Must be able to operate mill and lathe. Must be able to read tape measure, calipers and micrometers and possess good math skills. Must be willing to fluctuate hours to accommodate needs. Must be able to communicate with designers and operators on the shop floor .

Physical demands:
While performing duties of job, employee is required to stand; walk; sit; climb; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. At times, must use ladders to work at heights of up to 12 feet.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, fumes and is near moving machinery.
