Sioux Falls, SD (right off I-29)
Work Hours :
6:00pm to 6:30am Rotating 3-day per week schedule (36 hours but paid for 40) Week 1&3: Monday

Night Shift :
3-Day Work Week 6:00pm to 6:30am (36 hours but paid for 40) This position pays a $2.00 differential rate over base and any time over 40 hours is paid at time and a half.
Position Summary:
The Tack Welder will ensure tack welds are made strong enough to sustain the stressors affecting them, while ensuring precision and quality in the welding process.
Responsibilities:
Ability to read, interpret and adhere to documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Perform tack welding operations on metal components according to provided blueprints and work instructions. Inspect workpieces to verify conformity with quality standards and specifications. Monitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and make adjustments to maintain optimal weld integrity. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of welding equipment, tools, and materials.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired. On the job training provided.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Required Skills:
Strong attention to detail with ability to focus on a given task. Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technology. Effective time-management tactical approach to work prioritization. Commitment to continued development through the DeGeest Stronger Standard Program. Read, speak, and write the English language. Good communication skills.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.
