Welder Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel rails and related components in a heavy industrial environment. You will read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols, set up and adjust welding equipment, and ensure all welds meet strict quality and structural standards while supporting production schedules and safety guidelines. Responsibilities Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel rails and related components with a high level of accuracy and consistency. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and detailed work instructions to complete welding tasks correctly. Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment as needed for each job. Inspect completed welds to verify quality, accuracy, and structural integrity in line with company standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety procedures and guidelines. Follow established production schedules and meet quality expectations for all assigned work. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues that may impact weld quality or production timelines. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or material issues promptly to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills Previous welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding, particularly on stainless steel materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions accurately. Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail to ensure weld quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area. Capability to meet production schedules and quality expectations consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with stainless steel welding and fabrication. Comfort working in a heavy industrial environment with elevated temperatures. Willingness to work a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday shift. The facility provides water stations and a slushie machine in the break room to help employees stay cool and hydrated. The role follows a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday schedule. You will work around welding equipment, stainless steel materials, and standard fabrication tools, adhering to safety procedures and using appropriate protective gear as required by the site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gallatin, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
