Job Description
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards and assign necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.Fabrication:
Fabricate metal parts and products according to design specifications and project requirements, utilizing various welding and metalworking techniques. Perform outside fabrication work as needed by customers.Material Handling:
Safely handle and manage raw materials, including cutting, bending, and shaping metal components.Welding:
Perform welding tasks using various processes to join metal parts together, ensuring high-quality welds and structural integrity.Safety Compliance:
Ensure the assigned Crew strictly adheres to safety protocols and maintains a safe work environment at all times, promoting a culture of safety. Report any non-conformities to the Supervisor via email.Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fabrication tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Collaboration:
Work closely with the Site Supervisor to interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications, ensuring accurate execution of custom projects. Communicate with assigned crew and Fire watch.Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of materials used, work completed, and time spent on each project for billing and reporting purposes.Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus-OSHA 10 Certification is a plus
- Completion of a welding certification program or apprenticeship
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a GTAW welder
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment
- Knowledge of different types of metals and welding techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures
