Welder - Aluminum TIG

A TIG welder is responsible for using a precision welding technique to join metal pieces, primarily aluminum and stainless steel, according to blueprints and specifications. They prepare materials, set up equipment, perform welding tasks, inspect welds, and maintain equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting blueprints: TIG welders need to understand blueprints to determine welding requirements and ensure welds meet specifications.

Preparing materials:

This includes cutting, cleaning, and shaping metal components to fit the welding process.

Setting up welding equipment:

This involves configuring the TIG torch, gas regulator, and other necessary equipment.

Performing TIG welding:

TIG welders use a precise and high-quality welding technique to join various metals.

Inspecting welds:

They ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications, looking for defects or issues.

Maintaining equipment:

TIG welders are responsible for maintaining the welding equipment to ensure it's in good working order.

Skills and Qualifications:
