Analyze and prepare surfaces and seams to be welded in accordance with AWS, WPS, and work instructions. Run the finish on parts using sanders and grinders to achieve the desired results, ensuring that all processed products meet quality control standards. Repair welding processes that do not meet quality requirements using sanders, and perform manual welding, arc-air, back-gouging, gouging, and grinding for door-frame and repair dress-up tasks. Carry out welding of tacks, root passes, and semi-automatic welding repairs. Train welders and ensure compliance with safety standards through proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Optimize the tools and resources provided to maximize productivity and minimize downtime, ensuring daily targets are achieved. Attend training programs as required and perform additional tasks related to the function or as assigned by the supervisor. Complete all inspection and production forms associated with operations, follow safety standards, and consistently use PPE. Execute clock-in and barcode readings in SAP stations at the beginning and end of each task in production, and carry out 5S activities in the work area or as directed by the supervisor.

Education:

None.

Experience:

Two (2) years as an Industrial Welder Specialist, in the position above, or a related role; Experience must include: 1. Analyzing and preparing heavy steel surfaces to be welded; 2. Performing welding of internals per AWS and WPS; 3. Performing manual welding, back-grinding, gouging and grinding; and 4. Joining pieces of metal leagues and performing proper finishes by SAW.
