In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship on various projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and manufacturing sites, utilizing your technical expertise and mechanical knowledge to contribute to the successful completion of complex assemblies. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements and specifications. Perform
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques with precision to meet industry standards such as ASME codes & standards. Fabricate metal parts using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment. Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools; perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments. Assemble components by rigging, fitting, welding, and securing parts according to schematics and technical instructions. Operate machinery such as pipe threading tools, machining equipment, forklifts, and press brake machines safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing floors. Requirements Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background involving metal fabrication. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and plasma cutting devices. Mechanical knowledge of ductwork, pipe threading, assembly processes, and sheet metal fabrication. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise measurements using calipers and micrometers. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience with schematics is a plus. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to fabrication work; ability to follow safety regulations on-site or in the shop. Physical ability to stand for extended periods; capable of lifting heavy materials safely; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces if required. Paid Vacation :
Vacation accrues yearly as follows 1-5 years of employment = 80 hours 6-10 years of employment = 120 hours 11-17 years of employment = 136 hours 20+ years of employment = 180 hours Paid Holidays are as follows : New Year's Day July 4th Labor day
Thanksgiving Christmas Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
