What You Will Do ▸ Perform structural welds on freight railcar side frames and bolsters per

specifications ▸ Recondition worn components including gibs, liners, wear plates, and bowls to return them to serviceable condition ▸ Execute custom fabrication and welding to exact customer specifications ▸ Inspect welds and finished work for conformance to dimensional and quality standards ▸ Read and interpret OEM manuals, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and inspection criteria ▸ Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all shop safety protocols ▸ Coordinate with inspectors and shop leads to ensure components meet AAR compliance requirements Requirements ▸ 3G and/or 4G weld certifications required ▸ 3F/4F fillet weld certification preferred ▸ Proficiency in SMAW (stick) and FCAW (flux-core) ▸ GMAW (MIG) experience a plus ▸ Minimum 2 years of structural or heavy industrial welding experience ▸ Rail industry experience strongly preferred ▸ Ability to read weld symbols and shop drawings ▸ Experience working with carbon steel castings ▸ Must pass a weld qualification test on-site ▸ Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Preferred Qualifications ▸ Prior experience reconditioning side frames, bolsters, or freight car truck components ▸ Familiarity with AAR M-1003 or M-214 quality standards ▸ Experience working within a certified quality management system (QMS) ▸ AWS Certified Welder (CW) credential or equivalent What We Offer ▸ Competitive pay based on certifications and experience ▸ Steady, consistent work from an active reconditioning pipeline ▸ Small team environment where your work and quality matter ▸ Opportunity to grow with a company building from the ground up in the rail industry
