Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and versatile Welder
  • Combo to join our manufacturing and construction team.
This role involves performing a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and FCAW, to fabricate and assemble metal components according to detailed blueprints and schematics. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience working on construction sites, handling sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards to contribute to diverse projects across the construction and manufacturing sectors. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting schematics, utilizing hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly, operating welding equipment in accordance with ASME codes & standards, and supporting rigging, machining, plasma cutting, press brake operations, and pipe threading tasks. You will collaborate closely with team members to ensure precision in fabrication and installation while adhering to project timelines and safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, welding on various materials including sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and plasma cutters to measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal parts. Support fabrication tasks such as bending with press brake machines and pipe threading for plumbing or structural applications. Assist with rigging activities for lifting heavy components using cranes or other lifting equipment. Maintain a clean work environment by following safety procedures related to welding, machining, soldering, and material handling. Collaborate with team members on mechanical assembly projects ensuring precision in alignment and fit-up. Adhere to ASME codes & standards during all welding activities to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Support manufacturing processes by utilizing schematics for complex assemblies or ductwork installation. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing facilities involving welding tasks. Proficiency in MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas), TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading along with schematics related to fabrication projects. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement devices. Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, machining operations, soldering skills, and assembly processes. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while following safety standards. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks. Experience working with ASME codes & standards is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Valid certification or training in welding techniques is highly desirable.
