Job Overview TCH is looking for a Hollow Metal Fabricator/ Welder to join our team. We are growing rapidly and we need to add staff to support customer needs. Essential Job Functions Accurately read shop worksheet and pick materials for welding Weld steel doors and frames (face and continuous) Weld/build side light, borrowed light and transom frames Build complex and non-standard doors and frames Grinding and finishing steel doors and frames - which includes sanding and priming Cutting/prepping/de-burring/ machining doors and frames to proper specifications Communicate with HM Lead if something looks incorrect on components or finished product Transport finished doors and frames to shipping/ receiving dept Use various shop tools and welders to complete job tasks Other duties as necessary Skills Requirements Mig welding, 110 and 220V experience Metal fabrication experience Experience using various shop tools like electric grinder, jigsaw, circular saw, etc. Basic understanding of requirements for machining fire-rated doors and frames Accurately read tape measure Basic understanding of TCH shop worksheets, paperwork, etc. Basic understanding of hardware templates Basic understanding of industry nomenclature, preferred Forklift certified, or willing to become certified Favorable results from a drug screen and physical Working conditions Warehouse/ Manufacturing environment susceptible to temperature changes, majority of day spent on feet. Includes; bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, push/pull and constant use of hands with repetitive motion/ positions. Lift 10-50lbs, regularly and 50-100lbs +, occasionally.
