Job Description

Job Summary Superior Skilled Trades is seeking highly skilled and motivated Orbital Welders to join our team supporting a large-scale, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility construction project. In this role, you will perform precision orbital welding on high-purity piping systems and critical process infrastructure used in advanced industrial operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly regulated environment with strict quality, safety, cleanliness, and documentation standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge facility while working alongside experienced professionals on a long-term industrial construction project. Responsibilities Execute orbital welding procedures on stainless steel and high-purity piping systems using specialized equipment, adhering to project specifications and safety standards. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, isometric drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to determine welding requirements and sequences. Prepare materials by cleaning, aligning, and securing components to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality. Operate various power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to support installation and construction activities. Maintain accurate weld logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with project and industry requirements. Conduct visual inspections and dimensional verification using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met. Collaborate with field installation crews, quality personnel, and project teams while following all site-specific safety and cleanliness requirements. Comply with controlled-access site procedures, including security requirements, badging processes, and specialized work protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in orbital welding, TIG welding, and industrial pipe fabrication. Previous experience working on semiconductor, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, high-purity process piping, or similarly regulated industrial projects is strongly preferred. Proficiency in reading blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of piping systems and fabrication practices. Experience operating material handling equipment, rigging equipment, and common fabrication tools. Familiarity with ASME codes, welding procedures, and quality control requirements. Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic mathematical calculations. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail. Ability to pass all site-specific screening, training, and access requirements. Work Environment Large-scale industrial construction project supporting advanced manufacturing operations.
