Shop Welder/Fabricator Texas Welding Company, LLC Waco, TX Job Details Full-time $18 - $24 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Blueprint specification interpretation Mechanical fabrication Driver's License Driving MIG welding Ability to follow instructions Blueprint reading Welding Reading weld symbols Flux-cored welding Full Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This position involves welding, cutting, and fabricating steel components to blueprint specifications for industrial and commercial projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols. Fabricate and assemble structural steel. Perform MIG, FCAW, and stick welding as required. Lay out, cut, fit, and tack materials for fabrication. Use fabrication tools including torch, plasma, grinders, saws, drill press, etc. Operate forklifts, and material-handling equipment. Inspect welds for accuracy and quality. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
2+ years welding/fabrication experience (or equivalent training) Proficient in MIG and/or FCAW welding. Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols. Strong layout and measuring skills. Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in a shop environment. Reliable transportation and strong work ethic. Preferred Skills Structural welding experience Structural & custom fabrication experience Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills What we are looking for in a new employee Able to work independently without constant supervision Sense of urgency and efficiency in the shop Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to communicate and work as part of a team
