Our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking a Composite B onder level 2/3 to join our operations team, located in Clearfield, UT, working on a variety of bonds of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products.

Only external candidates and NG employees who are not currently aircraft structures mechanics at the Clearfield site will be considered under this requisition.

Position Requirements:

This position requires at least two years of experience working with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. The candidate will receive general supervision and instructions are given for routine work while detailed instructions are given for new activities or special assignments. They are able to resolve routine questions and perform more advanced functions . What you'll get to do: Read and interpret blueprints. Lay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agents. Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle. Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used. Sand, burs and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. Monitor and verify quality of finished product. Complete repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies quality of finished product.

Basic Qualifications:

Composite B onder level 2 High School diploma or GED with at least 2-years of relatable composite fabrication or bonding experience in manufacturing/production environment DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required to start, but not required to apply This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment. Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need. Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical Exam, and able to obtain and maintain a respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements

MPR Primary Level Salary Range:

$44,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range:

$52,700.00

• $87,900.

00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
