reviews $26•$35 an hour•Full-time Job Description Fitters/Welders will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, torches, and other industry specific hand tools. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of welding techniques, be safety-conscious, and capable of working from technical drawings and blueprints. This role requires precision, technical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced industrial or construction setting. Job Responsibilities Efficiently fit and fabricate structural and plate projects as required Efficiently produce high quality welds with flux core and other processes in a fabrication shop environment Set up welding equipment and select proper materials and techniques based on the project needs. Maintain and trouble shoot wire feed welding equipment. Adhere to safety procedures and wear protective gear as required by OSHA and company standards. Read, interpret, and communicate shop drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications. Report production status, delays, and issues to the shop superintendent. Keep and maintain accurate time card and stamp all welds. Stay up-to-date with welding best practices and certifications as required. Skills and Abilities Proven experience in welding, fabrication, or a related field. Ability to pass a flat full pin weld test, 1" beveled plate Strong hands-on background in structural steel and custom fabrication Ability to work in various positions (standing, sitting, laying down) and environments (indoors, outdoors, confined spaces). Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination. Familiarity with safety standards and procedures. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine the specifications and welding requirements. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
