$35.00/hour, hourly rate based on experience and certifications Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Welder for a short-term project in the Salt Lake City area. This role is focused on repair welding only. The ideal candidate will be a top-tier welder with strong experience in
GMAW-CV MIG
welding and the ability to read and interpret basic structural blueprints. We are specifically looking for a qualified welding professional who can perform high-quality repair work safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Use
GMAW-CV MIG
welding techniques to complete structural repair work Read and interpret basic structural blueprints and welding instructions Perform welding work with attention to safety, quality, and consistency Complete repairs according to project specifications and timelines Disconnect basic electrical components prior to welding, as needed, to protect sensitive electronics Follow all shop safety procedures and welding best practices Coordinate with onsite team members regarding bus availability, staging, and repair flow Required Qualifications Current welding certification required Strong experience with
GMAW-CV MIG
welding Ability to read and understand basic structural blueprints Experience performing repair welding on vehicles, buses, heavy equipment, trailers, or similar structures Strong understanding of welding safety procedures Ability to work independently and produce high-quality welds with minimal supervision Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to complete work within project timelines Preferred Qualifications Experience welding on buses, transit vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or fleet equipment Experience with steel welding Familiarity with MIG, ARC/stick, and TIG welding AWS or equivalent welding certification strongly preferred Prior experience working around vehicle electrical systems is a plus Project Details This is a short-term project. The project is expected to last approximately one month, though the final timeline may vary based on fleet access and scheduling. Compensation $35.00/hour. Pay is competitive and will be based on welding experience, certifications, and project fit. #
