Job Description

NIGHT SHIFT
Responsibilities Secures and/or packages parts and assemblies according to directions from Lead or Supervisor, using appropriate tools and equipment. Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment as needed. Cuts work pieces, using powered saws, torch, or machine as necessary. Removes rough spots from work piece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper. Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment. Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc. Moves structural elements by hand and machine through the use of chain rigging, overhead/jib crane, material conveyor, or transfer stations and other material handling equipment. Cleans work areas as needed Performs other duties assigned. Requirements Prefer High School diploma, GED or equivalent, 0 - 3-years work experience. Physical ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. of material. Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers. Ability to work for extended hours in a physically challenging environment. Must be physically fit. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, if necessary, with co-workers, maintenance, supervisors, and inspectors. SME is an equal employment opportunity. EEO/M/F/V/D
