We specialize in custom electrical equipment and modular solutions, including E-Houses and skid-mounted systems, supporting critical industries nationwide. ________________________________________ Position Summary QES is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Welder to support the fabrication of E-Houses and modular electrical equipment. This role is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling structural steel components that form the foundation of our electrical enclosures and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG, TIG, and Flux-Cored welding, be mechanically inclined, and capable of interpreting technical drawings in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are also open to training candidates with foundational welding experience who demonstrate strong work ethic and a desire to grow. _________________________________________
Shift:
4:00 pm to 2:30 am Monday - Thursday QES currently offers a shift differential of $3.00 per hour worked. This differential does not apply to overtime pay calculations or PTO hours. Please note that shift differential rates are subject to change at the company's discretion. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Perform highquality MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on structural steel components and assemblies Fabricate and assemble components: Structural frames (tube steel, channel, I-beams) Floors, walls, and roof assemblies for modular EHouses Equipment supports, skids, and mounting brackets Weld in multiple positions, including: 3G vertical up and 4G overhead groove welds on structural plate Perform flatposition MIG welding on materials ranging from thin gauge to heavy plate Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols and engineering drawings Perform fitup, tacking, and final welding of assemblies Operate and work alongside fabrication equipment (press brakes, CNC, lasers, etc.) Inspect welds for quality, penetration, and compliance with specifications Ensure all work meets QES quality, safety, and workmanship standards Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S practices ________________________________________ Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of welding or fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Proficiency in MIG welding (TIG and FluxCored strongly preferred) Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols Experience working with structural steel and heavygauge materials Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to use fabrication tools (grinders, torches, clamps, etc.) ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications Completion of a welding program or trade school AWS certification (or ability to obtain) Experience with modular buildings, skids, or electrical enclosures Ability to pass weld tests including: 3G vertical up groove weld 4G overhead groove weld (FCAWG) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles Experience working in a fastpaced production environment ________________________________________ Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, bending, and working in a manufacturing environment Exposure to moderate noise, heat, and industrial conditions ________________________________________ What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Multiple shift options to support worklife balance Opportunities for advancement and skill development Teamoriented environment focused on craftsmanship and quality _____________________________________________________
