This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing clean, accurate, high-quality welds and enjoys working with precision metal fabrication. Unlike structural welding focused on large heavy-duty projects, precision welding involves smaller components, thin materials, stainless steel, aluminum, and manufactured products where appearance, exact fit, and quality matter. 1st shift: Mon.-Fri. 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 2nd shift: Mon.-Fri. 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on thin materials and small metal parts Read and follow blueprints, measurements, and fabrication drawings Produce clean, smooth, and accurate welds with strong attention to detail Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and precision standards are met Work with stainless steel, aluminum, sheet metal, and other fabrication materials Maintain a safe and organized work environment Qualifications Experience with TIG welding required Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Steady hands and patience when working on precision projects Manufacturing or fabrication shop experience preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-focused, and takes pride in producing precision work. This role is perfect for someone who values accuracy, clean finishes, and craftsmanship in every weld. Assist welders with preparation of materials, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning components Support MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding processes by setting up equipment and ensuring proper safety procedures Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters Read blueprints, and technical drawings to aid in assembly and fabrication tasks Support rigging and crane operations for material handling and assembly tasks Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards Assist with basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, and tolerances Collaborate with team members on assembly projects to meet deadlines and quality expectations
Skills:
Proficiency in TIG welding; experience with TIG welding is highly desirable Ability to read blueprints, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, and press brake machines Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and assembly techniques Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involving schematics or blueprints Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication projects Strong teamwork skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to grow their skills in welding, fabrication support.
