Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Fitter to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing structural components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet strict safety standards, quality specifications, and engineering requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and manufacturing facilities, contributing to large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects. Your hands-on mechanical skills and knowledge of welding techniques will be vital in delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble structural components. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized fabrication equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters to shape, cut, and assemble sheet metal and ductwork. Perform
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), <LOCATION
> welding, and soldering to join metal parts according to ASME codes & standards. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication. Operate cranes, forklifts, rigging gear, and other heavy machinery safely to move large components into position on-site or in the workshop. Conduct pipe threading, assembly of mechanical systems, and installation of ductwork or structural frameworks following project schematics. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times during construction or manufacturing activities. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques, and <LOCATION
> welding. Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting heavy components safely with cranes or forklifts. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of pipe threading, machining processes, soldering techniques, and assembly procedures. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to structural fabrication and welding practices.
