Must be able to pass a stick and flux weld test. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Structural Welder specializing in marine fabrication to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding and assembly of structural components used in shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and other marine infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure the integrity, safety, and durability of large-scale metal structures, adhering to strict industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction site experience, advanced welding skills, and a comprehensive understanding of blueprint reading and fabrication processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex marine projects while working with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings specific to marine structural components. Perform Stick and Flux core welding. Prepare materials using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Execute structural welding on steel plates, pipes, ductwork, and other metal assemblies in accordance with ASME codes & standards. Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions during fabrication and assembly. Operate cranes, forklifts, rigging equipment, and machining tools safely to handle heavy components. Conduct quality inspections using schematics, blueprints, and basic math calculations to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy. Support mechanical assembly processes including pipe threading, soldering, and component fitting within manufacturing or construction sites. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a focus on marine or heavy industrial fabrication projects Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to structural welding in marine environments. Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and rigging equipment. Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, machining processes, soldering techniques, ductwork fabrication, and assembly procedures. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication. Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely within construction or manufacturing settings. Knowledge of safety standards applicable to welding operations on construction sites.
