Aluminum Welder/Fabricator

Aluminum Boat Welder SP Marine currently has a job opportunity for an Aluminum Boat Welder / Fabricator. SPM is an aluminum boat manufacturer located in Bremerton WA. We specialize in high end custom aluminum Fishing boats for recreational and commercial use.

Responsibilities:

Weld Preparation using proper material cleaning processes . Aluminum Mig finish quality welding. Fit-up of aluminum parts during construction. Understanding of Manufacturing Time Constraints. Communicate and receive instruction from welding supervisor. Work safely while being mindful for the safety of others. Fabrication with Aluminum using standard industrial equipment. Skills Aluminum Welding experience Welding experience on similar vessels. Knowledge and ability to keep track of parts and materials. Maintaining a clean and organized work station. Excellent attention to details and accuracy. Ability to work independently and on teams. Skilled problem solving and negotiation skills. Excellent decision making skills with strong initiative. Must have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Ability to provide own welding helmet and basic air tools. Application Requirements Education

• Basic Math Skills Using Decimals and Fractions, Ability to Read Dimensions on Drawings, Experience
• Welding experiance is a big plus but not required. It is however important to have strong technical skills. Physical Requirements
• Ability to maneuver in tight places, use of stairs/ladders on a daily basis, ability to lift and move objects in weight up to 50lbs. Skills Test
• An onsite skills test will be used to evaluate the skills of the applicant before awarded The position. The applicant will be tested on welding machine setup, prep procedures, fit up abilities, and weld quality. Working Conditions Standard work day 5:00
