Fabrication Production Department:
We are a rapidly growing automotive race parts manufacturer. We have been increasing production of our own products. Our in-house production and contract work includes welding mild steel, chromoly, stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium. Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced TIG welder who has high level skills to initially undertake the bulk production work. The right person will have skills in automotive or aerospace applications using materials that correspond to this industry (not heavy industrial). Knowledge of basic fabrication includes but is not limited to using basic math and geometry to create parts according to drawings, following written and verbal directions without direct supervision to fabricate a product using safe shop practices, and the mechanical aptitude and the ability to visualize the finished product. Knowledge of the following tools is a must: TIG welder, tube bender, sheet metal brake, vertical and horizontal band saws, hand-held bandsaw, and belt sander. In addition, dexterity for manipulating components and controls, strength for lifting and holding heavy objects during fabrication and assembly, and stamina are required for working long periods often doing repetitive work. For the right person with a higher-level skill set and proven experience, the opportunity exists for the management of custom work, and tooling creation/jigs. Higher level skills include the ability to machine parts using manual mill/lathe, use CAD, and to take a concept to final stages of production.
Long-term Objectives:
  • Assume responsibilities for department management and growth.
  • Supervise and train staff.

•.120" (Tube, Billet) Titanium 1-1.5mm; Optional (Sheet, Tube, Billet) Required experience: 2-5 years fabricating in automotive applications with supporting photos 3-5 years TIG welding in various metals with photographs to support (a welding test will be required) INCLUDE Welding PHOTOS of automotive parts that you have fabricated
