Let's build the future together. About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled welder to help build primary structure for spaceflight systems. You'll be hands‑on with precision aluminum welding, forming, fitting, and robotic/automated welding systems. In this role, you'll fabricate mission‑critical structures, inspect weld quality, support engineering with problem‑solving, and ensure every weld meets the highest standards. The work includes operating mechanized welding systems, fabricating tooling, handling raw materials, and supporting shop operations in a fast‑paced environment where quality and safety are essential. Responsibilities Weld primary structure for human‑rated space hardware Quickly fabricate and weld tooling to support production Inspect fabricated parts for geometry acceptance and weld conformance Fit, form, clean parts, and set up welding equipment for production Perform Class A quality aluminum welds Diagnose weld defects and recommend corrective actions and process improvements Collaborate with Engineering on tooling improvements and solving build issues Handle raw materials and finished weldments Use fabrication equipment such as vertical bandsaws, sanding tools, and jig tables Work with x‑ray technicians and support other NDT processes Read engineering blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area About You You're a highly skilled welder who takes pride in high quality work. You enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, solving fabrication challenges, and collaborating with engineering. You're self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and committed to producing flight‑quality work every time. You may have worked in aerospace before or in an environment where your welds are volumetricly inspected Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of Class A TIG welding experience ( or equivalent from other industry) 5+ years of fabrication and forming experience Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints Familiarity with NDT processes such as X‑ray and other inspection techniques Automated or robotic welding experience Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical milestones Preferred Skills & Experience 5+ years of Class A D17.1 aerospace welding experience Strong self‑starter comfortable in a fast‑paced fabrication environment Ability to rapidly diagnose weld issues and optimize processes Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality focus Automated or robotic welding experience Compensation and Benefits Your level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience.
