Wood Fabrication Helper Job Description Engage in the fabrication of wood by laying out assemblies, sawing parts as per drawings, and drilling timber frames to fabricate structural and architectural pieces for park construction projects. Handle materials, prepare outgoing shipments for orders, and conduct quality checks using measurement tools along with blueprints and drawings. Responsibilities Lay out assemblies and saw parts according to drawings. Drill timber frames for the fabrication of structural and architectural components. Handle materials and prepare outgoing shipments for orders. Conduct quality checks using measurement tools and blueprints/drawings. Essential Skills Proficiency with tape measure. Experience with power and hand tools. Wood fabrication on large timber forms. Forklift experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read and interpret drawings or blueprints to ensure correct assembly. Autonomous work capability. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a back shop environment open to the elements, with conditions varying from cold in the winter to hot in the summer. The company is a manufacturing entity that produces a wide range of products including park benches, playground equipment, and fitness equipment, serving clients nationally. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
