Welder Job Description This role focuses on fabricating and welding components for advanced palletizing and material handling equipment used in the food, beverage, and chemical industries. You will interpret blueprints and work orders, set up and complete weldments to precise specifications, and help ensure that finished products meet strict quality and alignment standards in a clean, well-organized manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up weldments according to detailed blueprint specifications and bills of material. Perform MIG welding to blueprint specifications, ensuring proper weld quality and appearance. Use additional welding processes such as arc welding and stud welding, as well as torches, as required by each project. Configure and adjust welding machines to achieve proper penetration and strong, consistent welds. Clean and inspect welds to identify and correct any imperfections or defects. Verify that finished assemblies meet required dimensions, alignment, squareness, and material specifications. Review and interpret work orders, blueprints, and layout information to plan and execute welding tasks accurately. Maintain accuracy in the number of components used and ensure each job matches the correct machine order. Collaborate with a small welding crew and other production teams to complete projects efficiently. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support production needs. Voluntary overtime is typically available on Fridays. You will work as part of a welding crew of approximately 4-5 people. The facility is very clean and well lit, providing a comfortable and organized production environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Beaver Dam, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
