PRODUCTION WELDER
duties, and responsibilities:
  • 4+ years of demonstrated comprehension in the process of welding and complete welds using TIG and/or soldering methods on stainless steel applying fine motor skill and attention to detail. This will include precision grinding and polishing to standard food grade finish specifications.
  • Sets up own machines and understands how to change welding tips and completes necessary machine maintenance
  • Read prints and schematics to ensure welds and parts are located properly
  • Identify parts shown in prints and ensure accuracy of projects
  • Welds together stainless-steel components of products and works on weldments for various projects
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (tape measure, calibers, protractors) to ensure that parts are made to specifications
  • Take questions to supervisor for clarification
  • Ensure each job is tracked appropriately
  • Maintain communication and documents problems and takes steps to resolve
  • Use measuring, hand, and power tools as necessary for the assembly of products
  • In addition to basic math skills, must be comfortable computing fractions and decimals
  • As needed, assist in other production roles throughout the shop including bead blasting, assembly, shipping, layout, metal finishing, etc.
