PRODUCTION WELDER
duties, and responsibilities:- 4+ years of demonstrated comprehension in the process of welding and complete welds using TIG and/or soldering methods on stainless steel applying fine motor skill and attention to detail. This will include precision grinding and polishing to standard food grade finish specifications.
- Sets up own machines and understands how to change welding tips and completes necessary machine maintenance
- Read prints and schematics to ensure welds and parts are located properly
- Identify parts shown in prints and ensure accuracy of projects
- Welds together stainless-steel components of products and works on weldments for various projects
- Ability to use measuring equipment (tape measure, calibers, protractors) to ensure that parts are made to specifications
- Take questions to supervisor for clarification
- Ensure each job is tracked appropriately
- Maintain communication and documents problems and takes steps to resolve
- Use measuring, hand, and power tools as necessary for the assembly of products
- In addition to basic math skills, must be comfortable computing fractions and decimals
- As needed, assist in other production roles throughout the shop including bead blasting, assembly, shipping, layout, metal finishing, etc.
