  • Full-time Harvard Resource Solutions is looking for a Production Leader ( Night) for their client in Dundee on a temporary basis.
Hours:
7:00pm
  • 7:30am ( 3-2-2-3 shift) 40
  • 45 hours per week

00 ( Based upon experience and education) Summary The Leader is responsible for Safety, Quality, Training, Motivating and Managing the Plant for their assigned shifts in a positive and team building process. Skills and Abilities 1 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience Production floor leadership and team supervision Workplace safety and OSHA awareness Employee training and coaching Staffing coordination and scheduling Attendance monitoring and workforce planning Corrective action and disciplinary support Production, quality, and efficiency monitoring Cost control and downtime reduction Strong interpersonal and communication skills Leadership development and employee mentoring Housekeeping and plant organization oversight Fork truck log distribution and compliance tracking Report generation and shift summaries Team-building and plant-wide communication Computer proficient and software literate Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environments Manufacturing Leadership / Production Support Safety & Compliance Verified safe work practices were consistently followed throughout the plant and addressed unsafe conditions or behaviors as needed. Supported and enforced workplace safety standards while communicating concerns and corrective actions to leadership teams. Monitored propane cage closures, odor control systems, open-top areas, storm water control compliance, and plant noise levels to ensure operational compliance and safety. Production & Operations Coordinated staffing levels with Shift Group Leaders based on production schedules, skill sets, and operational needs. Assisted with maintaining production efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting cost-control initiatives. Oversaw housekeeping and plant organization to ensure production areas met company standards and expectations. Completed mandatory logs, reports, and operational documentation accurately and on time. Distributed weekly fork truck logs and maintained operational compliance documentation. Leadership & Employee Development Met with new hires and trainers to establish training expectations, foster communication, and support successful onboarding experiences. Followed up on employee training progress and provided coaching and development support as needed. Supported associates seeking advancement opportunities by collaborating with leadership on employee growth plans. Assisted Group Leaders with corrective actions, disciplinary matters, and performance management support. Filled in for leadership roles as needed to support plant operations and shift coverage. Communication & Reporting Sent end-of-shift summaries to leadership teams covering staffing, safety, quality, and production performance. Held plant-wide and group meetings to communicate updates, reinforce teamwork, and support operational goals. Maintained open communication across departments to promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, safety, and accountability. Education Bachelor s Degree in a related field or equivalent manufacturing experience.
