Marine Boat Mechanic

Boat Mechanic / Marine Technician NXTLVL Marine is hiring boat mechanics across all experience levels to join our growing service team in Texas. Whether you are early in your marine career or a seasoned tech who can tear down a diesel and rebuild a generator in your sleep, we want to talk to you. We service everything from small runabouts and personal watercraft up to 60 foot cruisers with twin diesel engines and onboard gensets. That means there is real opportunity here to grow your skill set, take on bigger work, and earn accordingly.

What you will do:

Perform routine service and maintenance including oil changes, impeller replacements, winterization, and seasonal commissioning. Diagnose and repair gas and diesel inboard, outboard, and sterndrive engines. Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, and steering. Service onboard generators, AC systems, and house systems on larger cruisers. Complete warranty work for our manufacturer partners. Document jobs accurately in our DMS, Lightspeed, so customers get clear communication and clean invoices.

What we are looking for:

Mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic. Honesty, ownership of your work, and pride in doing the job right the first time. Any of the following are a plus: prior marine service experience, automotive or diesel technician background, Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, Cummins, or Caterpillar certifications, ABYC certification, experience with onboard 12V and 120V electrical systems, comfort working on larger cruisers and yachts. If you are newer to the trade, we will train the right person who shows up, listens, and works hard.
