Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Marine Service Technician, where your expertise will drive the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of marine vessels and related equipment. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge marine systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. As a key player in our service department, you will utilize your mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to deliver exceptional service to our valued customers. Your hands-on approach and technical knowledge will help keep marine operations running smoothly and efficiently. Duties Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of marine vessels and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Utilize rigging techniques for assembly, disassembly, lifting, and securing components during repairs or installations. Fabricate or modify sheet metal parts and components to meet specific vessel requirements while adhering to safety standards. Operate heavy lifting equipment safely for moving large parts or vessels; perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the service process. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in the marine or heavy equipment industry with strong mechanical knowledge. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints with confidence. Experience with vehicle or vessel maintenance; knowledge of power tools and hand tools is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Physical capability for heavy lifting, working in confined spaces, climbing ladders or scaffolding as required.
