The Marine Waste Operations Dispatcher at our Port Fourchon location is responsible for managing and coordinating the receipt of all non-hazardous oilfield waste. This role is critical in coordinating the flow of waste intake activities between vendors, customers, and internal departments while ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient site operations.Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal departments, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and work-related issues. Coordinate with customers to facilitate smooth waste disposal processes, including scheduling, documentation, and manifest discrepancies. Collaborate with the Site Superintendent and General Manager to report manifest discrepancies and resolve issues effectively. Maintain open communication lines, providing regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders regarding work progress, delays, or changes.Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure strict adherence to company policies, environmental regulations, safety protocols, and relevant procedures. Report any breaches of company policy promptly to the Site Superintendent. Update and maintain accurate site records, logs, and other relevant documentation as required.Waste Shipment and Testing:
Receive each incoming waste shipment, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulations. Coordinate the testing of incoming waste samples in collaboration with designated personnel. Maintain records and documentation related to waste shipments and testing procedures.Requirements:
At least 5 years' experience in the oilfield service industry or 2 years in a dispatch or customer service capacity. Ability to consistently meet established goals, expectations, and responsibilities for the position. Capability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively. Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to complete standardized paperwork in multiple formats according to existing instructions. Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers.
