Job Description
Job Description Framing Creations is a long-established, high-end custom picture framing studio in Lake Mary, Florida. Founded in 1984, our shop specializes in conservation framing, fine art presentation, object framing, and custom design solutions for artwork, photography, memorabilia, and commercial projects. We are a small, owner-operated studio looking for a thoughtful, creative, and marketing-minded team member to help us grow our local presence while also supporting day-to-day client service in the showroom. This is not a traditional retail clerk position. The main focus of this role is marketing and business development, with additional front desk and client experience responsibilities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys visual design, storytelling, social media, local outreach, and working with clients in a creative environment. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Business Development Plan, create, and manage content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile Photograph and document completed framing projects for marketing use Write captions, short posts, client-friendly project descriptions, and occasional email content Help develop weekly and monthly content ideas Build and maintain a list of potential local business clients, including interior designers, artists, photographers, galleries, staging companies, builders, hotels, schools, corporate offices, and other commercial prospects Assist with outreach to potential commercial clients through email, phone, LinkedIn, and local networking Help create simple marketing materials such as flyers, portfolio pages, project highlights, and client follow-up messages Track marketing efforts and help identify which activities generate real leads and customer interest Client Experience & Showroom Support Greet walk-in clients and help create a warm, professional first impression Assist clients with basic framing design selections after training Help with customer pickups and order follow-ups Answer phone calls and respond to client emails Keep the showroom organized, clean, and visually presentable Learn how to communicate the value of custom framing, conservation materials, handcrafted work, and design quality Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Creative, detail-oriented, and visually sensitive Comfortable with social media and content creation Interested in art, interior design, photography, home décor, or small business marketing Professional, friendly, and confident speaking with clients Able to write clearly and warmly in English Organized and able to follow through on outreach and marketing tasks Comfortable working independently in a small business environment Willing to learn about custom framing, conservation materials, and design presentation Able to balance marketing work with occasional front desk/client service duties Preferred Qualifications College degree or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design, Art, Interior Design, or a related field Experience with social media management, content creation, local marketing, or small business marketing Experience using Canva, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Mailchimp, CRM tools, or similar platforms Experience with photography, design, galleries, retail design, interior décor, or luxury/client-service environments is a plus Prior sales, outreach, or business development experience is a strong plus Schedule This is a part-time position for approximately 20 hours per week . Preferred schedule may include weekdays during business hours. Some Saturday availability is a plus but not required. Compensation Starting pay is $23-$25 per hour , depending on experience. We also offer performance-based bonus opportunities for qualified commercial leads, new business development, and successful marketing results.
