Marketing Student
Position Overview
The Health Education Resource Office (HERO) is a source for KU student wellness through partnerships that support innovative approaches toward optimal health while maximizing academic and professional success. This student marketing position is to assist the Communications Coordinators with various marketing projects to promote health-related services, programs, events, etc. The incumbent must have exceptional creativity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The incumbent in this position will see, hear, and possibly have access to confidential information that must be handled in accordance with all relevant state and federal laws and university policies and procedures regarding its use and disclosure. HERO utilizes computer technology in all aspects of its operations. The incumbent must become familiar with and be able to use the appropriate computer hardware and software programs associated with this position. The incumbent must become familiar with and adhere to the Watkins Health Center Customer Experience Plan to ensure appropriate interaction and positive outcomes with both internal and external customers. HERO is a unit within Student Affairs.

- Assist the Communications Coordinators with various marketing projects to promote health-related services, programs, events, etc. 25%
- Create print and digital materials. 25%
- Develop social media messages. 15%
- Suggest new tactics/ideas for keeping up with emerging trends among college students. 5%
- Other duties as assigned.
