This role is ideal for a professional who positions themselves as a trusted advisor—someone who listens first, uncovers client objectives, and designs branded merchandise programs that drive real business outcomes. The Account Manager will own and grow a portfolio of accounts, build long-term client relationships, and deliver strategic promotional product solutions that align with marketing goals, brand standards, budgets, and timelines. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic consultant to clients, identifying business challenges and recommending promotional product solutions that support branding, marketing, employee engagement, and customer retention goals Manage the full sales lifecycle—from discovery and concept development through presentation, order execution, and post-delivery follow-up Develop creative, on-brand product ideas and programs rather than simply responding to product requests Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service Collaborate with internal teams and supplier partners to source products, negotiate pricing, and ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery Prepare and present proposals, virtual samples, and pricing options tailored to client objectives Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and program expansion Stay current on industry trends, product innovations, sustainability options, and compliance requirements Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including account activity, forecasts, and pipeline management Qualifications & Experience 3+ years of experience in promotional products, branded merchandise, or a related B2B sales environment Proven success in consultative or solution-based selling Strong understanding of branded merchandise programs, sourcing, decoration methods, and fulfillment processes Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.) Industry certifications (PPAI, SAGE, ASI, etc.) are a plus Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate: Thinks like a problem-solver, not an order-taker Asks thoughtful questions and listens closely to client needs Is confident presenting ideas and guiding clients toward the best solution Takes pride in delivering value, not just products Builds trust through expertise, follow-through, and accountability What We Offer Competitive compensation with commission or bonus structure Opportunity to work with established clients and grow strategic accounts Supportive team environment with access to top suppliers and resources Room for professional growth and advancement
