Vice President- US Marketing Location:
El Segundo, CA (L'Oréal West) Position Summary We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Marketing to lead our brand strategy, capturing the hearts and minds of consumers with the ability to think big; create bold, market-defining campaigns and on-the ground activations with an obsession for executional excellence. This role requires a leader with an external focus and consumer-centric mindset with the ability to translate consumer/shopper insights into actionable plans that drive brand, customer and market growth. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a human-centric leadership style and a winning drive for success.
Key Responsibilities US Brand Vision:
Define and execute the short- and long-term US marketing roadmap to sustain market-leading growth and elevate brand equity.
Product Launches:
Oversee the US launch calendar, adapting global concepts into highly relevant, localized campaigns that resonate with diverse US consumers.
Category Growth:
Maximize the commercial potential of core franchise pillars while successfully pioneering new sub-categories.
Social & Influencer Excellence:
Champion brand heritage by driving next-generation campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.
Community Cultivation:
Lead the strategy for creator and influencer partnerships, elevating professional makeup artists (MUAs) and beauty enthusiasts who advocate for the brand.
P&L and Budget Management:
Manage the US marketing budget with strong fiscal discipline, ensuring maximum efficiency, tracking ROI, and aligning spend to strategic growth drivers.
Retail Partnerships:
Partner with Brand Activation and Digital teams to build groundbreaking in-store and online marketing initiatives for key US retailers.
Market Analysis & Insights:
Leverage consumer insights, social listening, and sales data to proactively identify market opportunities, competitive threats, and beauty trends.
Inspire & Empower:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and creative risk-taking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a critical bridge between the US market and the Global DMI team to influence global product pipelines with US consumer insights as well as playing a key role in inspiring cross-functional collaboration within the US Brand team.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required (MBA preferred).
Experience:
12+ years of progressive marketing experience within beauty, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Digital Mastery:
Deep expertise in the digital landscape, social commerce, creator economies, and modern media buying practices.
Agility & Entrepreneurial Spirit:
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Demonstrates the "test-and-learn" mindset crucial to brand's disruptive DNA.
Analytical Rigor:
Proven ability to translate complex data sets (social metrics, IRI/Nielsen data, retail panel data) into actionable commercial strategies.
People First:
Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and upskilling multi-disciplinary teams.
Location:
Ability to work on-site at our El Segundo, CA campus in a hybrid capacity.
Salary Range:
$172,000-$250,000 Base + Bonus
