Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead development of ZO's global brand strategy, positioning, and long-range marketing plans aligned to ZO's 5-Step System architecture Own the 3-year product roadmap and ensure category strategies ladder up to brand positioning Lead the stage-gate process as marketing owner, serving as gatekeeper on incrementality (70%+ threshold) Partner with R D and Product Development to inform innovation pipeline and ensure strong connection between science, trends, and market opportunity Own global go-to-market strategy for new product launches, from positioning to messaging frameworks to launch roadmaps Translate clinical data and scientific insights into compelling marketing narratives for both physician and consumer audiences Guide the creation of integrated global campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and regional needs Partner with the VP of Creative to ensure strategic clarity, unified storytelling, and consistent brand expression across all touchpoints Collaborate with Education team to strengthen marketing support for training programs and clinical resources Provide Sales teams and physician offices with refined messaging tools, launch kits, and clinically focused marketing assets Partner with regional marketing leads to ensure adaptation—not dilution—of global strategies Identify growth opportunities across international markets, analyzing competitive activity and consumer trends globally Lead and develop the global marketing team across category, product marketing, and marketing operations disciplines Partner with Finance on pricing strategy, budget management, and promotional program economics Manage budgets, agency relationships, timelines, and global marketing operations with strategic rigor
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
12+ years of global marketing or brand leadership in skincare, beauty, aesthetics, or medical-grade/professional skincare Strong experience developing marketing strategies for physician-dispensed or clinical skincare brands Demonstrated success in global brand building, category strategy, and high-impact product launches Experience collaborating with creative leaders; ability to brief, align, and translate strategy into creative execution Deep understanding of clinical storytelling, scientific communication, and regulated skincare claims Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to synthesize data into clear actions Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional partnership abilities Proficiency in stage-gate processes and innovation pipeline management
Work Environment:
The work environment is indoors in a professional office environment. The floor surfaces are carpeted in office areas and conference rooms with vinyl floor covering typical in hallways, break rooms and computer rooms.
Work Hours:
The work schedule is 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Initial start time may vary, with work hours typically from 8am-5pm. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The position resides in Orange County but is hybrid with 2 days being remote work.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, or negligible amounts of force frequently, to move objects. This job also requires constant sitting. Constant use of the upper extremities is required to reach, handle, and position tools and equipment. The employee must know and follow proper safety protocols and maintain a professional and polished appearance. They must be able to efficiently use Microsoft Office Programs and Project Management systems to retrieve information, generate documents, organize project plans/schedules and coordinate meetings. The employee must also be able to maintain and preserve confidentiality of company information, exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, including international affiliates.
