This role is a key leadership position responsible for developing and overseeing the company's government relations, advocacy strategy, and tactical execution at the US State and Local level. This role will work closely with multiple teams within the company to thoughtfully and strategically protect and promote the company's interests, as well to as advance our policy positions and relationships with key officials across the country. Description Develop and drive a strategic, comprehensive advocacy strategy to advance the company's policy priorities and to protect the company's interests.

Proactively assess the policy landscape to ensure new and emerging issues are identified and addressed in real time. Anticipate and analyze policy developments and advise senior leadership on risksWork to develop, foster, and strengthen relationships with key policymakers and influencers, third party organizations, and other entities to enhance the company's advocacy efforts.

Motivate and lead and a team of regional government relations professionals and external consultants.

Collaborate with the broader government affairs team to develop and implement strategies to inform legislative/regulatory developments and advocate for Apple's policy positions.

Build strong working relationships with key business partners across the company to drive consensus on policy priorities and related government affairs activities. Minimum Qualifications 15+ years of professional experience in roles that involve shaping state-level political and advocacy strategies and campaigns in government and/or the private sector. Preferred Qualifications Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, able to advise and influence a wide range of internal and external colleagues at all levels of the organization. Effective collaborator within cross-functional teams and capable of driving consensus across teams and geographies. Excellent verbal and written communicator; detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and summarize political, legal and policy challenges in a clear, concise presentation. Demonstrated track record of managing high performing teams that are geographically dispersed. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $310,400 and $496,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
