$27.50Position Summary:
The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing community-focused programs and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and values. This role involves working closely with cross departmental teams, community partners, and government stakeholders to create workforce development programs and partnerships that engages diverse audiences, fosters community connections, and promotes inclusivity. Responsibilities include logistics planning and coordination for on and off-site events as well as budgeting and financial reconciliation.Position Elements:
Designs, plans, and implements community residencies programs, events, and initiatives (on and off stage) that address community needs and organizational goals at The Ford. Support with Community Engagement strategy as it pertains to the stewardship of The Ford. Collaborates with Ford Administrative team on the annual community engagement meeting presentation and logistics. Builds and maintains relationships with local community groups, leaders, and stakeholders. Identifies and establishes partnerships with community organizations, schools, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to enhance programming. Serves as a liaison between the organization and the community, ensuring open communication and mutual understanding. Conducts outreach to underrepresented and diverse communities to ensure inclusivity in programming. Organizes and oversees community events, workshops, and activities, ensuring smooth execution and participant satisfaction. Coordinates logistics, including venue setup, materials, staffing, and participant registration. Collects data and feedback from participants and stakeholders to measure program success. Ensures programs comply with organizational policies and legal requirements. Manages budgets, timelines, and resources for community programs. Supports in coding and submission of invoices to PN3 and prompt completion of invoices, expense reports and reimbursements. Develops marketing and promotional strategies to raise awareness of programs within the community. Creates engaging content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels to attract and inform participants. Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness, adjusting to improve impact and engagement. Prepares reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Maintains accurate records, contracts, and agreements related to programs and partnerships. Provides a broad range of administrative support including: Coordinates Zoom and in person meetings Assists with calendar management Train venue staff on best practices around Community Residency program execution. Conduct community cultural mapping which includes research, outreach and strategic planning to identify potential partners or collaborators across LA County. Ideate and develop new organizational initiatives that reflect community needs and values. Support with research and logistics around pop up community performances and neighborhood engagements. Support in the maintenance of Salesforce database records. Other duties as assignedRelationships:

Proven experience working with culturally diverse communities 2-4 years experience in event planning and cultural engagement Knowledge of the performing arts and/or B.A. or B.F.A. in performing arts/humanities Ability to work independently, and take projects from conception to completion Innovative thinking, adaptability, and comfort with supporting new ideas/projects Familiarity with email marketing, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, blogs, etc. Strong knowledge of standard office software including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Google tools Position requires frequent onsite event management required, often during evenings and weekends Must be extremely detail-oriented and highly organized, with excellent follow-through Exceptional, professional, and clear writing and verbal communication skills Ability to meet deadlines, organize, and priorities duties efficiently, and focus on many tasks simultaneously and in detail Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record Resourceful and forward-thinking problem solver.
