Selection will be made to qualified applicants based on the Parent Community Liaison MOU dated April 29, 2026. General Description of Position Goals The Parent/Community Liaison facilitates increased parent, family, and community involvement and engagement at the school site and district sponsored activities. The Parent/Community Liaison serves as a communication link between parents, families, schools, and community partners, supports parent education and engagement activities, and assists with outreach and communication related to both the Districts instructional program and the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP), in order to support student achievement and well-being. B.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Greet and assist parents, guardians, and community members at the community center, school site, and district community events. 2. Maintain cleanliness, organization and welcoming appearance of the parent center. 3. Responsible for completing and maintaining ELOP daily attendance. 4. Assist parents with the basic use of computers, parent portal, student information system and other related platforms. 5. Provide interpretation and translation (Spanish/English) during meetings, workshops, phone calls, and written communications as needed. 6. Prepare materials for parent workshops meetings, school events and ELOP outreach activities. 7. Attend and participate in workshops, in-services, expanded learning and seminars related to the development and implementation of parent education programs and goals. 8. Maintain a variety of confidential and non-confidential records, schedules, contact logs, and documentation related to parent engagement activities. 9. Make individual phone calls, create and send electronic messages, emails, flyers, and social media posts as part of parent and community outreach efforts. 10. Provide, facilitate and assist with parent workshops to educate parents on various topics related to parent involvement and the promotion of student achievement.
