TMAC , Ophthalmology , Neuroscience , Pharmaceutical The Medical Communications Manager will focus on the development and management of the Ophthalmology clinical trial media portfolio. This will include but not be limited to both digital and fixed engagement materials such as, medical communications content, including field medical decks, physician and patient communication and educational materials field medical training materials and enduring scientific content. As a Medical Communications Manager, the primary mission is to include the creation of scientific materials, guiding materials through the Medical Review Committee (MRC) for approval, vendor hiring and oversight as needed. In this role, you will be a key contributor to Company's industry-leading medical communications team, leveraging your operational expertise to develop and implement effective clinical trial communications and materials.Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and manage field medical resources and other modular content tailored for effective communication with healthcare providers Oversee vendor relationships to ensure effective communication, adherence to project specifications and timely delivery of materials Evaluate, develop and maintain, as needed, impact metrics related to field medical resources assessing performance and identifying growth opportunities Collaborate closely with field team to create relevant scientific content that fosters meaningful conversations with HCPs Continuously gather feedback from field teams and healthcare providers to refine and enhance resource effectiveness Create and design enduring educational content, including infographics, brochures and digital materials to effectively convey scientific and clinical trial information Design, develop, and gain approval on comprehensive direct to patient clinical trial program educational websites Purchase SEM terms compliantly to display website on search engines Assess the effectiveness of screening and referrals to optimize website Work closely with medical affairs leadership to secure sponsorships to promote the website effectively to patientsQualifications and Experience:
4-5 years of experience in Medical Communications or Medical Information at the pharmaceutical and/or agency level, ideally with some focus on Medical Writing and Publication Planning Doctorate degree in a scientific discipline required Clinical experience in Ophthalmology, highly preferred Working knowledge and understanding of Good Publication Practices Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication are essential Ability to work in a global cross-functional environment Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally Proven experience managing Veeva Med Comm processes required Able to manage challenging medical questions and development of SRDs Operate effectively within an international and rapidly changing environment Ability to work independently, to solve problems at all levels of difficulty or uniqueness. Manage conflict and achieve consensus in a group through complex and thorough discussion. Excel in ability to integrate and work in cross functional network. Superior written and verbal communication skills Highly motivated and self-directed with ability to think innovatively & strategically, skillfully plan, manage and prioritize multiple projects independently; demonstrates resilience and flexibility Computer skills including Veeva, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and programs such as LiveMeeting®, Zoom and MS Teams are expected.
