POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Communications is responsible for creating clear, compelling, and consistent communication that helps people know Jesus, take next steps, and stay connected to Home Church. This role oversees all digital, printed, and physical communication while helping maintain a unified brand, engaging storytelling, and excellent systems that support the mission and vision of the church.
MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Digital Media Oversee and execute all digital communication platforms to ensure clarity, consistency, and engagement.
Responsibilities include:
  • Church Communication Hub (Nucleus)
  • Website management and updates
  • Social media management (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Email communication (church-wide emails and campaigns)
  • QR code and Linktree management
  • Weekend announcement slides and video content 2.
Printed Media Ensure all printed materials are clear, organized, on-brand, and aligned with church messaging.
Responsibilities include:
  • Bulletins and handouts
  • Event paperwork and ministry packets
  • Campaign materials
  • Printed ministry resources and promotional materials 3.
Physical Media Create a cohesive in-person experience through effective visual communication and environmental branding.
Responsibilities include:
  • Campus signage
  • Environmental branding and building signage
  • Event signage and displays
  • Gathering and ministry environment communication 4.
Graphics, Branding & Content Maintain and elevate the visual identity and storytelling of Home Church.
Responsibilities include:
  • Graphic design (digital and print)
  • Photography and videography
  • Brand consistency across all platforms
  • Creative direction for sermon series, campaigns, and events
  • Content creation and storytelling 5.
Team Leadership & Development Build and lead a healthy, high-capacity communications team.
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage systems of communication for staff (Teams)
  • Recruit, train, and develop team leaders and volunteers
  • Create systems for onboarding and ongoing training
  • Delegate responsibilities and empower team ownership
  • Foster a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attend and support weekend gatherings and ministry events
  • Update website, social media, and communication platforms weekly
  • Design graphics and promotional materials for upcoming events
  • Schedule and distribute church-wide communication
  • Capture and edit photos/videos from gatherings and events
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders on communication needs
  • Manage communication calendars, deadlines, and systems
  • Participate in staff meetings and church planning conversations
  • Ensure communication remains accurate, clear, and on-brand

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires a flexible schedule including Tuesday-Friday office availability and participation in weekend gatherings, ministry events, and special church functions
