We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven leader to help shape and grow the adult programming experience at Mission 18. Position Overview The Director of Adult Programming & Community Partnerships will lead the development, coordination, and expansion of adult programming across the Mission 18 ecosystem. This individual will work collaboratively with leadership, families, community partners, service providers, and support staff to help create meaningful experiences that foster growth, connection, independence, and purpose for adult members. They are collaborative, relationship-driven, and passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for adults with alternative abilities. Essential Responsibilities Adult Programming Leadership Lead the design, coordination, implementation, and ongoing growth of Mission 18 adult programming Develop programming opportunities that support independence, life skills, social connection, wellness, recreation, and community engagement Support both campus-based and community-based experiences Assist with scheduling, planning, staffing coordination, and operational support connected to programming initiatives Collaborate with leadership to align programming with the Mission 18's vision and long-term goals Member Onboarding & Family Connection Assist with onboarding new members and families into the Mission 18 ecosystem Participate in fit discussions, intake conversations, tours, and relationship-building Collaborate with leadership to determine program alignment and support needs Community Partnerships & Resource Development Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, businesses, service providers, and support agencies Help expand partnerships that create opportunities for members, programming, volunteering, employment pathways, and community engagement Maintain awareness of local and regional resources that support adults with alternative abilities and their families Support Mission 18's visibility and collaborative presence throughout the community Staffing, Leadership & Collaboration Assist in identifying, onboarding, and supporting volunteers, contractors, support personnel, service providers, and community partners Help cultivate a positive, inclusive, collaborative, and innovative organizational culture Maintain high standards for professionalism, mission alignment, safety, and relationship-centered service Work closely with Mission 18 leadership on strategic programming initiatives, organizational planning, program development, and systems growth Contribute ideas, creativity, and solutions that strengthen the Mission 18 ecosystem Support events, workshops, retreats, and community initiatives connected to Mission 18 Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred in special education, human services, psychology, social work, recreation, transition services, leadership, or a related field Background in special education, transition programming, adult services, therapeutic programming, or community-based support strongly preferred Experience supporting individuals with alternative abilities and their families Strong knowledge of programming modalities, support systems, and community resources Comfortable with technology, scheduling systems, communication platforms, and collaborative planning Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced and evolving organization Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and systemically Physical & Environmental Expectations This role involves physically moving throughout campus. It requires active participation in campus- and community-based activities and may occasionally require evening or event-related availability.
