This full-time position serves as the primary liaison to the membership, leads key engagement programs, and collaborates across committees to ensure a high-quality, consistent member experience. The Membership Director anticipates member needs, develops strategic initiatives, and delivers programs, events, and communications that strengthen member connection and organizational impact. This position reports to the President & CEO. Member Services & Engagement Develop, implement, and manage membership recruitment and retention strategies to meet established growth and engagement goals Maintain and actively manage a pipeline of prospective members; conduct proactive outreach to communicate the value of membership, events, and opportunities Lead onboarding efforts to ensure new members are welcomed, informed, and connected from day one Build and maintain strong relationships through consistent touchpoints (in-person, phone, and email) to enhance the overall member experience Regularly evaluate member satisfaction and identify opportunities to increase engagement, participation, and retention Serve as staff liaison to the Membership Committee, providing direction, reporting, and coordination
Program Management Welcome Service Program:
Oversee and execute the Welcome Service Program, ensuring new members receive structured outreach, personalized introductions, and early engagement opportunities
Ambassador Program:
Manage and grow the Ambassador Program, including recruitment, training, communication, and performance of volunteer ambassadors; assign and maintain member portfolios across ambassador tiers Continuously assess program effectiveness and implement enhancements to improve engagement, retention, and member satisfaction Events & Committee Support Partner with the Membership Committee to plan, coordinate, and execute Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings and quarterly member meetings Attend and actively participate in events to foster relationships, increase visibility, and drive engagement Support additional events, networking opportunities, and programs as needed to strengthen member involvement Marketing & Content Development Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop and execute membership campaigns and promotional materials Create and manage membership-focused content for digital platforms, including website updates, email communications, and social media Develop event-based content templates that allow members and sponsors to engage with and benefit from events even when they cannot attend in person Create customizable, industry-specific content packages tied to events (e.g., social media features, spotlight templates, promotional assets) Ensure content delivers value to a diverse membership base and aligns with sponsor visibility and engagement goals Support cross-functional marketing efforts tied to events, sponsorships, and multi-chamber initiatives Key Skills and Qualifications Outgoing, relationship-driven professional with a high level of initiative and professionalism Proven experience in membership sales, customer service, program management, events, or fundraising Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, leadership, and the community Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and execute independently while collaborating as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and a commitment to delivering a high-quality member experience
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
