Responsible for maintaining and enhancing Parkview's reputation locally and nationally by coordinating news stories with Parkview leaders and subject matter experts, pursuing and promoting healthcare awards and recognition opportunities, and building relationships with journalists. Reporting to the Media Relations Manager, and working closely with the larger Marketing and Communications team, focuses on media relations and reputation building efforts throughout the health system. Education Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or public relations; or related field. Licensure/Certification N/A Experience Minimum five years of marketing or communications experience; healthcare experience preferred. Other Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communications skills; journalistic or marketing writing/editing skills preferred. Detailed knowledge of media relations principles and tactics, as well as familiarity with local media outlets. Project management experience, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and produce results on time. Solid relationship-building skills with the ability to professionally interact/communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work independently, with minimal supervision.
