Job Summary Responsible for developing and implementing external communication strategies that enhance the hospital's reputation, promote its services, and engage with the community, media, and other external stakeholders. This role focuses on proactive communication efforts to maintain a positive image and foster strong relationships outside the organization. Essential Functions- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to promote the hospital's initiatives, events, milestones, and healthcare services to external audiences.
- Cultivate relationships with media representatives, coordinate press releases, organize press conferences, and serve as a spokesperson for the hospital when required.
- Create and implement outreach programs, events, and campaigns to engage with the local community, establishing the hospital as a trusted resource and healthcare provider.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, advocacy groups, and industry organizations to strengthen partnerships and support the hospital's objectives.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans, ensuring the organization's responses are timely, accurate, and align with the hospital's values and goals.
- Produce compelling content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media content, and newsletters that effectively convey the hospital's message and engage external audiences.
- Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and trends related to healthcare and public affairs to adapt communication strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for various audiences.
- Experience in media relations, crisis communication, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to communication initiatives.
