This position includes hospitality, customer service, light food preparation, event support, and community engagement responsibilities. This role is designed to support workforce development, vocational skill-building, and collaborative community participation. Essential Responsibilities Caf Operations Greet and assist customers in a welcoming and professional manner Take food and beverage orders using point-of-sale systems Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and light caf offerings Maintain cleanliness and organization of caf, kitchen, and seating areas Restock inventory and supplies as needed Assist with opening and closing procedures Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Community Engagement & Hospitality Help cultivate a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for guests and community members Provide respectful and supportive customer engagement Assist individuals attending gatherings, workshops, performances, and community events Support a calm and community-centered environment within the caf space Events & Space Support Assist with setup and cleanup for events, film screenings, music performances, support groups, and workshops Arrange seating, refreshments, and event materials as needed Support guest check-in and hospitality during events Help maintain organization and flow during community gatherings Team Participation Work collaboratively with caf and community staff Participate in workplace training and skill development Maintain professionalism, reliability, and respectful communication Support a positive and cooperative work environment Preferred Qualifications Interest in hospitality, community engagement, or arts-based environments Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn Comfortable engaging with diverse populations and community members Active Filters Cafe & Community Engagement Asso...
