Job Description

Marketing •Communications• Manager Grand Rapids Full-Time / Hybrid Shape Purpose-Driven Communications That Inspire Global Engagement This Marketing Communications Manager role has a strong emphasis on h ands-on copywriting, editing, and message development across channels . This is an individual contributor role with responsibility for content leadership and project-based oversight of freelance copywriters rather than direct people management. What You ll Do Lead messaging strategy and execution across integrated marketing communications that support key ministry priorities and product initiatives. Write and manage copy across a wide range of channels, including direct mail, email campaigns, web content, social media, print materials, and event promotions. Protect and strengthen the ministry s brand voice by ensuring all messaging is clear, consistent, engaging, and conversational. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research audiences, analyze market trends, and develop creative concepts that differentiate ministry resources. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all written content while maintaining organized documentation and copy management systems. Support public-facing communications such as events, media outreach, and press materials-ensuring messaging reflects the ministry s mission and includes clear calls to action. Track project scope, timelines, and deliverables; develop workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Manage new and existing product marketing copy, ensuring each resource is positioned clearly and competitively in the marketplace. Oversee freelance copywriters as needed, ensuring quality, alignment, and timely delivery of content. What You Bring.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in marketing, communications, English, or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience in copywriting, or content marketing. Creative and imaginative in expressing product concepts, descriptions, and promotional messaging. Capable of coordinating multiple concurrent projects while consistently meeting deadlines.
