Identifies and manages potential issues and opportunities impacting the organization, both internally and externally, in collaboration with the director of internal communications and senior managers. Creates action plans and messaging covering a multitude of campus and system goals shared across various internal vehicles. Develops and enhances relationships with key leaders in the lines of business to provide internal communications counsel and support. Leads the planning and delivery of public affairs content for internal audiences, including community and government advocacy. Partners with external communications teams to strategically share external, executive, and citizenship activities with internal audiences. Supports the creation of crisis communication plans and develops tools for emergency preparedness management across the division. Conducts communication audits and evaluates methods of communication. Provides leadership and mentoring to internal communications specialists.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff [Required]

- Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook [Required]

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate skillfully and manage relationships with all levels of staff, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism [Required]
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and function in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong time management and attention to detail [Required]
- Proficiency in adapting writing style for specific audiences and AP writing style standards [Required]
- Ability to implement initiatives independently with minimal supervision and to influence and coordinate efforts of team members in support of goals [Required]
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) [Preferred]
- Presentation design and development [Preferred]
- Social media deployment [Preferred]
Education:
- Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
N/A Work Experience:
- 2+ of management experience. [Required]
- 5+ of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, communications, internal corporate communications with proven results [Required]
- Experience executing strategic communications plans across a variety of internal and external vehicles, including email, social media platforms and company intranet. [Preferred]
- Experience planning and executing video communication tools. [Preferred]
- Internal communications experience in a health care, HR or other corporate setting.
