Job Description

Position Summary :
Hatley Pointe is seeking a highly organized, creative, and results-driven Marketing & Communications Manager to oversee the resort's marketing initiatives, brand communications, advertising efforts, and content strategy. This individual will be responsible for translating the company's vision into clear, compelling messaging across multiple platforms while ensuring consistency of brand voice and guest experience. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on executor who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and collaborate across departments to support resort growth, events, and guest engagement. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Brand Management
  • Develop and execute marketing plans that support resort goals, seasonal initiatives, events, and revenue growth.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all customer-facing communications and marketing channels.
  • Translate leadership vision and operational priorities into clear and effective marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor marketing performance and recommend adjustments to improve results. Content & Social Media Management
  • Oversee social media strategy and content distribution across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with and direct the in-house video and content team to produce engaging short-form and long-form content.
  • Ensure content is tailored appropriately for each platform while maintaining brand standards.
  • Develop content calendars and manage campaign timelines.
  • Monitor audience engagement and identify opportunities for growth. Communications & Public Relations Create and manage written communications including: Email marketing campaigns Guest communications Blog articles Press releases Website content Internal company communications
  • Serve as a primary liaison with local media outlets, tourism organizations, and community partners.
  • Coordinate media interviews, event promotion, and public relations opportunities. Advertising & Campaign Management
  • Oversee digital and traditional advertising efforts.
  • Manage advertising budgets and ensure campaigns align with established goals and return-on-investment expectations.
  • Review, approve, and coordinate creative assets for advertising campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance and provide reporting and recommendations. Event Marketing & Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Events Team to understand, support, and communicate event vision and objectives.
  • Develop marketing strategies that drive event attendance and guest engagement.
  • Assist with select event planning, coordination, and execution as needed.
  • Support both on-site and off-site promotional opportunities. Team Leadership & Project Management
  • Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and priorities.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and provide direction to internal and external creative resources.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify marketing opportunities and support operational goals.
  • Maintain organized project workflows, calendars, and communication schedules. Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, hospitality marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong background in social media management and digital marketing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working with media outlets, public relations, and community partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, audience engagement, and brand development.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments. Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms.
  • Basic graphic design experience.
  • Experience with video editing software and content production workflows.
  • Email marketing platform experience.
  • Website content management experience.
